How do you decide where to visit?
We have created a custom database that contains over 400 museums, historical sites, state parks, and other areas to learn and explore. This database continually gets updated with new locations.
Our reader community also provides us with suggestions for new locations, special events, and places. Know of a great site or event we should see; please let us know!
Who creates the content on the site?
Most of the articles are a collaborative effort by the team. The Crew members get to contribute in age-appropriate ways, including photography, assisting with article creation and trip planning.
What WordPress theme do you use?
The site currently uses the Newsmax theme from Themeforest; we love that it is designed to be mobile friendly, has a clean look, rapidly displays pages and works well with WordPress 5+. We have used other themes from Themeforest for other WordPress projects, and have always been pleased with the selection of the designs.
Who do you recommend for hosting?
We have used multiple hosting companies but love Bluehost. They have impressed us in all areas, from spinning up a WordPress instance, to configuring email accounts and the most crucial part for new bloggers, technical support.
